Freelance Flash Designer

With Flash as your weapon of choice you’ll develop animations that beautifully express nuances and meanings typically too difficult to convey by other means.

You’re responsible for interpreting complex ideas using Flash as a creative tool. Together with the creative team,. Whatever it takes, you’re out to capture the imagination of the audience. You know all the angles technically and creatively and have a unique talent for touching souls, hearts, funny bones and intellects. From concept development through final presentation you aim to deliver a richly visual product that evokes the desired response.

Because you bridge the gap between creativity and technology, you’re in the unique position to guide the development of ideas in the pre-animation phase. It’s your job to facilitate the process by instructing your fellow collaborators regarding technical requirements and specifications paramount to producing an elegantly paired technical-creative solution.

REQUIREMENTS:

Naturally capable of communicating with all types of personalities, experts and non-experts, concerning all variety of projects in a painfully clear and effective manner.

Totally flexible with a facile mind and an overdrive gear for coping with the semi-occasional insanely ridiculous deadline.

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a Bachelor Degree in Design
• Expert level Actionscript programming; Actionscript 2, Actionscript 3 and OOP
• Experience with Adobe Flex
• Expert level Flash compression techniques and file structuring practices
• Expert level Flash animation techniques using both the timeline and programmatic motion
• Experience creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies
• Flash remoting and communication server experience a plus
• Expert knowledge of encoding audio and video within Flash
• Proficient with Photoshop/Illustrator/Fireworks
• Proficient with HTML/Javascript/XML
