Triple Strength announces the launch of a new web site for Community Action Association of Pennsylvania.

Harrisburg, PA – Community action agencies change people’s lives, embody the spirit of hope, improve communities and make America a better place to live. Triple Strength recently completed the redesign of the web site of the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania (CAAP), the leading poverty awareness group in the state of Pennsylvania. With a mix of welcoming graphics, a bright color scheme and straightforward layout, TS was able to accomplish a fresh, new interface for CAAP to engage its constituents and the people it strives to help.

Earlier this year the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania chose Triple Strength, among other agencies in the region, to redesign its web site to help the association disseminate information to its members and the public in a clear, consistent and concise manner. Because of CAAP’s long history of changing lives and inspiring hope, it was imperative that the new site reflect this mission. The web site needed to convey a sense of caring, community and hope, while still being representative of CAAP’s institutional and educational roots.

Taking all these ideas into the design and development phase, TS created layouts with straightforward site navigation in order to direct general users to the important information they’re looking for, and to enable CAAP the opportunity, through the use of social media integration (i.e., Facebook, Twitter and a variety of other outlets), to share this information with its group members via the click of a button.

For CAAP members, a portal will be created to hold internal information used by the organization for each member. Once past login, users are able to check up on a private calendar customized for the committees they represent, access other pertinent information about similar agencies and post jobs in their region to the new CAAP web site.

Even though the new site has launched to much acclaim from the public and inside the organization, there’s still work to be done to make it even easier for members to access their key information. TS is now in the process of creating a new mobile-optimized site for smartphone users. “CAAP Members will be able to get all the same information through their web-enabled phone that they would by logging on through their computers,” says Mike Donley, Triple Strength’s director of web development. This includes the latest Blackberry, iPhone and Android mobile devices, keeping CAAP on the cutting edge of technology and information distribution. Donley added: “Community action doesn’t occur behind a desk … so having something that members can access from anywhere is very important.”
